Jason Roseberry Jr. Named 2026 Red River Conference Freshman of the Year
Texas College proudly announces that freshman guard Jason Roseberry Jr. has been named the 2026 Red River Conference Freshman of the Year, recognizing his outstanding debut season and elite impact across the conference. Roseberry proved to be the most dynamic freshman in the Red River Conference, leading the Steers in all major statistical categories while setting the tone with his versatility, competitiveness, and leadership beyond his years. His all-around performance established him as one of the premier young players in NAIA basketball and a foundational piece of the Texas College Men's Basketball program.
Head Coach Kelan Jones praised Roseberry's development and character throughout the season: "I've watched Jason grow tremendously on and off the court this season. His energy, effort, coachability, and deep desire to learn are what set him apart. He brings a great attitude every day, and he's an even better human being. This is huge for Jason and for our Texas College Men's Basketball program — and it's only the beginning."
Roseberry's journey reflects the program's core belief: "Discipline and Dedication Determine Your Destination." Like a rose that grew through concrete, he has flourished through adversity to achieve one of the conference's highest freshman honors while elevating Texas College Basketball on the regional stage. This recognition marks a major milestone for both Roseberry and the Steers, signaling the continued rise and future promise of Texas College Men's Basketball.
